POLICIES & PROCEDURES
Confidentiality
At Georgia Family & Mediation, we uphold the highest standards of confidentiality throughout the mediation process. All information disclosed before, during, and after mediation sessions is treated as strictly confidential, to the extent permitted by law. This commitment applies to all parties involved—including clients, mediators, administrative staff, and independent contractors. We create a safe, private environment where individuals can speak openly and honestly, knowing that their information will not be disclosed outside the mediation setting without written consent, unless otherwise required by law.
Payment Policies
Full payment is required in advance of the scheduled mediation session. This policy ensures that your mediation time is reserved exclusively for you and that our team is fully prepared to serve you without delay. If payment has not been received prior to the start of the session, Georgia Family & Mediation reserves the right to postpone or cancel the mediation at the mediator’s discretion. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a smooth, respectful process for all parties involved.
Cancellation Policy
We recognize that unexpected changes may arise in the schedules of attorneys, clients, and other involved parties. In some cases, matters may even resolve prior to mediation. To accommodate this, we ask that cancellations be made with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled mediation will be subject to a fee equal to 50% of the total session cost. This policy allows us to fairly compensate our mediators for time reserved and ensure the availability of services for others.
Refund Policy
Clients who cancel their mediation session with at least 24 hours’ notice will receive a full refund. Once mediation has been conducted, however, no refunds will be issued. Our goal is to provide a fair and transparent payment experience while honoring the preparation and time dedicated to each case.
