05. Weekend Intensives for Couples
Local Weekend Intensives for Couples
Built for Couples in Crisis Who Need Real Answers, Not Endless Arguments
Is your relationship overwhelmed by tension, resentment, or a conflict that won’t go away—no matter how many times you talk it through?
Georgia Family & Mediation offers a focused, private alternative to traditional therapy with our Couples Mediation Weekend Intensive—a 5-hour, solution-driven session designed for couples facing high-conflict issues, fragile connections, or make-or-break decisions. Led by a trained Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Domestic Mediator, this process helps couples talk through what matters most, without getting stuck in old patterns or courtroom battles.
Who This Service Is For
Our Couples Intensive is ideal for:
-
Partners navigating a serious conflict that’s threatening the relationship
-
Couples contemplating separation or divorce but still hoping to stay together
-
Relationships affected by betrayal, communication breakdowns, or emotional distance
-
Spouses needing a structured space to make parenting, financial, or relational decisions
-
Couples wanting to avoid long-term therapy but still address critical issues
-
Any couple who wants to protect what’s left—and rebuild what’s possible
Whether the conflict is new or has been building for years, we work with couples across Henry County, South Atlanta, Jonesboro, McDonough, and the Metro Atlanta area through virtual access that makes help possible from anywhere in Georgia.
What We Bring to the Intensive
Unlike therapy that unfolds over weeks, our intensives are designed to create movement and clarity in a single day. We combine emotional insight, practical negotiation, and structured support to help couples feel heard and guided toward real outcomes.
We provide:
-
A free consultation to assess your situation and determine readiness
-
Individual sessions with each partner prior to the intensive for private reflection and preparation
-
A 5-hour joint mediation session, structured into:
-
Relationship and conflict assessment
-
Unpacking conflict patterns and emotional cycles
-
Exploring possible outcomes and reality-testing solutions
-
Negotiating terms and finding points of compromise
-
-
A written summary of any agreements reached—or a strengths-based reflection and next steps if resolution isn’t possible
This is not therapy. But it may lead to or complement therapy. Many couples use this intensive to clear the air, gain insight, and decide on the right path forward—together or apart—with mutual understanding and dignity.
At Georgia Family & Mediation, we believe peace is still possible—even when the relationship feels like it’s falling apart. Let us help you find it.
