Divorce can feel isolating — even when you know it’s the right decision. The emotional toll of grief, betrayal, and uncertainty about what comes next can be overwhelming to process alone. Many women find themselves searching for community, encouragement, and practical strategies to help navigate life after separation.
At Georgia Family Mediation, we offer a Divorce Support Group for Women designed to provide a safe, welcoming space to share experiences, gain insight, and find connection with others who understand. This is not therapy — it’s a guided support group focused on helping women process the challenges of divorce and discover new strength for the next chapter of their lives.
Who This Group Is For
Our divorce support group is ideal for women who:

Are in the process of separating or recently divorced

Feel isolated and want to connect with others navigating similar challenges

Need a safe, non‑judgmental space to talk about the emotional and practical realities of divorce

Want encouragement, resources, and community to help them move forward
What to Expect
Sessions are facilitated by a trained therapist. Join us weekly for guided discussions, peer support, and practical tools for handling co‑parenting stress, redefining identity, and planning for the future. The group runs in 8‑week cycles and is available both in‑person in McDonough, GA and virtually (join from anywhere).
Our goal is to help you feel less alone, more empowered, and supported as you navigate life after divorce.

Virtual (secure, private, HIPAA-compliant platform)
Group Size
Max of 6 to 8 women for an intimate, supportive feel.
We will close the group once maximum participants reached.
Investment
We are proud to offer this support group at no cost.
Each session is 1.5 hours.
IN PERSON McDonough, GA.
Sundays - 3pm -4:30pm.
Starting December 7th (thru Feb 1st).
No session December 28th.
